Meet Our FounderTroy A. Beane
21 years, USAF and US Army. Retired Major, Pennsylvania National Guard.
Troy is a serial entrepreneur. He started his first company as a side hustle in high school. Like many, he failed. In 1998, looking for discipline, resources, and education, he joined the military.
The events of 9/11 led to a career in service. After 21 years in the USAF and US Army, with several mobilizations and deployments, Troy retired as a Major from the Pennsylvania National Guard.
He carried the lessons with him: shared hardship in the enlisted ranks, responsibility as a commanding officer, and the influence of working with dedicated experts at "echelons above reality."
He brought that into a civilian career as a Management Consultant, then minority owner and COO of Greencastle Associates Consulting, an all-veteran management consulting firm serving Fortune 500 companies.
Troy founded Veteran Executive Leadership in 2022. Today he helps veterans build lasting wealth by owning businesses, with coaching, mentoring, and back-office help along the way.

Heather Rankin
CFO
A CFO in the construction industry, Heather specializes in financial strategy, risk management, and operational efficiency. With a Bachelor's in Accounting from National American University, she brings a strong foundation in planning, budgeting, and cost control so projects run profitably and in compliance.
Mark Knorr
Chief of Staff
Mark keeps VXL's companies working together and getting things done. His 42 years of military experience span Engineering, Special Operations, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He also built and led a technical trade business in emissions measurement instrumentation, including work to NASA-level specifications. His belief: a strong culture gets the work done right.
